Professional Experience

Overdrive Energy Solutions

Field Technician/Product Engineer July–August 2026

  • Deployed and commissioned temporary BESS and solar power systems up to 100a/480v, integrating battery storage and solar with generators and grid power for demanding live-event applications.
  • Deployed up to 200 kW of solar and 500 kWh of battery storage at Burning Man, Outside Lands, and Festical Napa Valley, supporting high-draw applications including HVAC, sanitation, and other event infrastructure.
  • Contributed to telemetry and field-commissioning software as a product engineer, translating deployment requirements into product specifications, technical designs, implemented features, and production releases.

Crunchlabs/Mark Rober

Technical Fabricator May–June 2026

  • Fabricated large-scale kinetic sculptures in steel and aluminum, translating 3D designs into physical assemblies and production-ready components.
  • Created 2D CAD for plasma cutting and CNC routing and built physical prototypes to identify and resolve engineering problems during fabrication.

GridX

Senior Product Manager April 2024–December 2025

  • Led a cross-functional team of 5 engineers across backend, frontend, and QA, plus a product designer, to build and launch GridX Design, a utility tariff design and modeling product.
  • Owned product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, requirements, and launch execution, taking GridX Design from functional prototype to production with sub-penny tariff-modeling accuracy.
  • Led a cross-functional tariff group comprising engineering, tariff operations, and 2 tariff modeling specialists, translating complex domain requirements into scalable product capabilities and operational workflows.
  • Aligned technical and business stakeholders and delivered tooling improvements that increased tariff-operations throughput.

Arcadia

Product Manager IV November 2022–April 2023
Software Engineer IV September 2021–November 2022

  • Founded and led the Utility Tariff Data Squad, a global team building internal software and operational tooling for tariff data management.
  • Combined user research, requirements definition, prototyping, product planning, and hands-on engineering to improve operational efficiency and throughput.
  • Shipped full-stack integration features across acquired services using Ruby on Rails, Python, TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL, extending capabilities of Arcadia’s Arc platform.
  • Partnered with engineering, operations, and domain experts to translate complex tariff-data workflows into maintainable software products.

Genability (Acquired by Arcadia)

Solutions Engineer June 2020–September 2021
Software Engineer December 2014–August 2016

  • Led 3 engineers through the architecture, development, and launch of Team Tariff, a greenfield tariff-modeling application taken from wireframes through production.
  • Built software supporting daily, monthly, and annual updates for thousands of electricity tariffs across hundreds of utilities.
  • Partnered with tariff-operations leadership and 2 tariff modeling specialists to convert complex domain requirements into production workflows and reliable software systems.
  • Led approximately 2 customer engagements per week for DER and energy companies including Tesla, Prologis, and Dandelion Energy, delivering technical consultation, prototypes, documentation, and implementation guidance.
  • Built reusable interactive visualizations for energy usage, DER generation, and cost, accelerating development of customer-facing product features.

Selected Independent Projects

Energy Systems, Fabrication & Interactive Installations 2019–Present

  • Designed and built custom solar and battery power systems for large-scale public art installations, replacing generators and supporting EV-based transportation.
  • Led teams of 30+ people and managed project budgets up to $25,000 across development, fabrication, fundraising, production, and deployment.
  • Developed custom power, sensing, lighting, motor-control, robotics, and interactive systems using circuit design and microcontroller programming.

Data Journalism & Software Engineering 2016–2020

  • Built full-stack data pipelines and visualization tools using React, D3, Python, and Pandas for Workbench, a Columbia University-sponsored platform.
